College Reunion: How to Organise A Great Party
College days are no doubt fun and surely everyone misses them after graduating. So if you and your school mates decide it’s time for a reunion and you’re in charge, here are some tips that will help you become a fantastic planner; not to mention, help you organise an unforgettable reunion!
Committees
You have to face the fact that you cannot single-handedly accommodate every task. So this time you’ll need help from your classmates or fellow graduates. Create a committee that will handle the advertising, entertainment, refreshments, and invites. You can choose to head one of these subgroups or be hands on in each of them.
Date, Themes and Logo
You have to agree on a date for the reunion in order for you to work around a deadline. Preferably, start planning weeks or even months before the reunion. In addition, think of the reunion theme and logo as these are important in giving your reunion an identifiable essence.
Invites
For the invitation, you have to know where your classmates are so you can send a mail or email. Social networking sites such as Facebook are helpful tools in locating them. But for the rest, inquiries from the school about old information and contact details should be helpful.
Mail them an invitation regarding the date, time, location, and attire if it’s applicable and send this way ahead of time. Request an RSVP so you have a close estimation of the people expected to turn up.
Entertainment, Stage Decors
College days are filled with concerts and parties. What better way to re live this than by inviting a band you all used to love. It would be fantastic if all of you could return to a college ambiance even with just the entertainment. Only difference now though is you all don’t need to buy tickets for it.
Remember, the stage set up should be in accordance with your theme and it should dependant on whether your party is during the day or at night.
Refreshments
Food and beverage are very essential in parties. So make yours scrumptious and find a good caterer. You can also make these fit in with your theme for a more uniform feel. For the drinks, gone are the days of kegs and beers so you can up the ante for now with wine and champagne. Make sure to request for the best, yet affordable ones to make for a good night.
Organisation is the key to a reunion’s success. Everyone will be anxious and excited to reconnect with everyone so it’s your job to make this a breeze and as comfortable as possible. But with these guidelines and tips, you’ll surely pull off a fantastic reunion party.
