For all you know he and your grandma danced to soft music, forever branding their love. That phonograph is your grandfather’s memorabilia.

When you encounter the word memorabilia, it usually connotes old memories of famous events. One of these is memories of a concert. People collect memorabilia. They could be its original owner or they have bought it from others. Some collect for the significance of the memorabilia in history. Some collect it for their own personal memories.

Examples of famous events that usually are worth the memorabilia are concerts, political rallies, wars, and so forth. However, one of the most common in the youth and old people are concert memorabilia. There are old people that until now hold their very first concert tickets. This can signify a hundred of different things to them. It could hold the best memory or an unforgettable experience. This piece of ticket is so important to them that until now it is well-preserved.

For the youth, a lot of them collect memorabilia for various purposes. Some collect memorabilia of their garage rock band of friends. They may do these for the intention of having the earliest memories in case their friends become famous. And when indeed they become famous, they have evidence that they were the first followers. But also, this is just one of the hundreds of reasons.

Concert memorabilia are also not just for personal keepsake. Many people, after decades of years, sell their memorabilia. But not just for any price. If what they have has a truly historic significance, they can make thousands of dollars out of it. Some of the pricey memorabilia are that of The Beatles. Until now, even the new generation becomes their converts. And a lot of these new fans collect memories of the band. However, this is the case for the rare memorabilia.

Today, on the other hand, memorabilia are sold right outside of the concert venues. There are business-minded people who wisely sell shirts, caps, or posters. They sell just about every kind of merchandise. In a way this is convenient. Sooner or later, it will become priceless as well. So if you are an avid fan of someone, have your own memorabilia. When you buy tickets, keep it even after the concert. Who knows but after so many years, that piece of paper will be your pride.
