Why You Shouldn’t Ignore Great Festivals

Ever since that legendary Woodstock music festival on the summer of ’69, many have tried to copy its grandeur but never succeed. Then and now, Woodstock is Woodstock. It is historic, life-changing and monumental. For those who were there, those days were forever embedded in their memory. And until the day they die, it would become the pride of their youth. Generation after generation, their descendants can proudly declare, their grandparents were there.

This is what happens to those who braved to go to that infamous music festival. For those who did not take the risk, surely some of them harboured regret. It can be your fate too. That is if you snub cool festivals in your country and intentionally ignore those festival tickets being offered to you. Sure, that Woodstock moment can never be duplicated. However, each generation spires their own historic live music extravaganza.

Just think of festivals such as Big Day Out, Van Warps Tour, and so forth. These concerts are the gathering of some of the contemporary geniuses of the music industry. In here, you will experience unbelievably awesome compositions for days. You will also get to meet unique people, each with their own individualities and passion for music. If you have favourite bands and they happen to be in the lineup, this is your chance to see them up close. And if you’re lucky enough, you might also get to meet them in person. Just think of autographs, pictures and probably a hug.

It would be more fun as well if you invite friends to come along. There’s nothing more special than celebrating an adventure with your closest friends. Soon when you part ways and have your own lives, you will have this special memory to keep. Come reunion time, it will be the source of your nostalgia. When you look back in to that time, it is but a remembrance of your once fun youth.

And just like those people who have been there at the first Woodstock, it will also be your pride. You will have stories to tell your grandchildren. They will also have memories of your youth to share with their friends. And probably, down the line of your family tree, they will still tell of your stories. You see, going to music festivals is not merely a caprice. It is more than partying. But rather, it is an adventure, a life-learning experience, and a choice to live life to the fullest.
