Monarto Zoological Park is sanctuary to Australia’s endangered species. It is renowned nationally and internationally to have significant breeding programs for rare and endangered species. The park has 1100 hectares of land, allowing animals to roam like they’re in their natural environment. It is operated by the Royal Zoological Society of South Australia.
Are you fascinated by koalas and wants to see them up close? Then head on to the first and largest koala sanctuary in the world, the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary. This sanctuary is private and is located in Brisbane, Queensland. It houses over 130 koalas plus other wildlife animals.
